The Barn Witch
Welcome to my blog! Created in the fall of 2026, Barn Witch seeks to be the intersection between fantasy writing, witchcraft, and all things equine! I am the Barn Witch. My muggle name is Bethany, and I am a writer, a witch, and an equestrian. The horse has been one of my most profound spirit guides throughout my life, and I want to celebrate her unique beauty and magick with this blog. I have my own horse, Viento, who is my beloved companion and muse. I also share my home with my incredible husband and eight wonderfully quirky cats, making me a self-proclaimed "crazy cat lady," something I take very seriously.
Our Story
Barn Witch was officially launched on September 27th, 2026. It emerged on the heels of a rough career shift, wherein I ended up feeling rather hopeless about my future in the corporate world. I decided to change the narrative and create a space where I could just be myself, and maybe attract like-minded peers to a new community of my own design. Thus, Barn Witch was born.
The vision is to create a safe place for like-minded folks who love horses, alternative spirituality, and fantasy writing. This blog was made so that you will always have a place to truly be yourself and shine your unique light.
